Dow Personal Care Adds Ingredients for Hair, Skin and Sun Care

Learn more about Epitex 66 polymer, Ecosense surfactants and Accudyne shine polymer.

Dow Personal Care, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, rolled out an array of new ingredients during the recently concluded In-Cosmetics.

Acudyne Shine Hair Styling Polymer is an emulsion that can be used in hair styling products to produce outstanding shine and sustain exceptional hold, according to Dow Personal Care. The composition of Acudyne Shine helps enhance hair styling systems through a combination of high refractive index and quality of product delivery.

EcoSense surfactants, a naturally-biodegradable family of products, are 100% vegetable-based and sulfate-free, yet offer better foaming and rinsability than SLES shampoos, according to Dow Personal Care.

Finally, Epitex 66 polymer is said to combine excellent water resistance with more pleasing skin aesthetics, as compared to conventional water-resistance technologies. The polymer was designed to address low tack to improve the feel on skin when the personal care product is applied.
